BAHAWALPUR/MANDI BAHAUDDIN/HAFIZABAD/PASRUR - Six persons including three women were killed and nine others were injured in different mishaps over the past 24 hours.

As per detail, in BAHAWALPUR, a man killed his wife with connivance of his cousin while a youngster burnt himself after his father scolded him in a separate incident.

In the first incident occurred in Mauza Haji Jhabeel area of Mubarakpur. Muhammad Ismail Jhabeel told the police that his son-in-law Salahuddin used to beat his daughter Shaheena Bibi. The other day he came to his house and told him that Shaheena Bibi had suffered a heart attack and subsequently died. However, when he visited his daughter’s house he found that blood had spilled out from Shaheena’s nose and mouth and she had also marks on her throat.

Muhammad Ismail accused that his son-in-law Salahuddin with the connivance of his cousin had murdered his daughter Shaheena. The Police registered a case and arrested both the accused.

In another incident, a youngster burnt himself after his father scolded him over a free will marriage issue.

The incident occurred when 25-year-old Umair, a resident of Bismillah Colony, married with a girl against the consent of his father. At which his father scolded him and opposed his decision. Resultantly Umair in frustration burnt himself. His parents took him to Bahawal Victoria Hospital in very critical condition.

According to BVH Emergency Ward In-charge Dr Aziz, he has sustained 40 to 50 percent burns on the body and his condition is very critical.

In MANDI BAHAUDDIN, brother shot sister dead and her husband.

According to details, Amjad Iqbal, a resident of Mona Sydan situated in the remit of Malikwal Police contracted love marriage with Iram Bibi about seven years ago. However, Munawar, brother of the girl developed grudge against the couple and was in wait of opportunity. The other day he entered the house of the couple and shot them dead. The police registered a case against the accused.

In another incident, a man, a resident of Chhimmon near Harya Railway Station killed his former brother-in-law while injured two others including a ten-year-old girl were injured in the incident.

According to the police, motive behind the incident is that the deceased had divorced the sister of the accused.

Similarly in PASRUR, unknown gunman killed a man in the remit of Qila Kaler Wala.

As per detail, Najeeb Ullah, son of Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Feroze Wala District Sheikhupura, came to village Ghatialian tehsil Pasrur where unidentified gunman killed him. The police have hand over the dead body to his relatives and registered a case.

In another incident of gas explosion occurred in the house of a labourer, a woman was killed and three injured. The explosion occurred due to gas leakage in the house of Muhammad Imran Rehmani situated in Muhallah Tajpura. At midnight, his wife Saima Bibi went to bathroom and switched on a bulb due to which an explosion occurred. Resultantly, Saima Bibi died instantly while her husband and two daughters seriously injured. Meanwhile, PML-N MNA Zahid Hamid Khan sa assured that the Punjab government would extend financial support to the bereaved family.

In HAFIZABAD, a 15-year-old student of a seminary was killed while three others seriously injured when a wall of a restaurant in Pindi Bhattian collapsed and fell down on them due to heavy rain early Tuesday morning.

According to rescue sources, 4 teenaged students of Madrissa Umar Bin Khattab located on bypass Pindi Bhattian were on the way to their seminary when dilapidated wall of a roadside restaurant fell down on them. They were removed from under the debris by the rescuers but Muhammad Shoaib S/o Saifullah of Shori Manika succumbed to his injuries while Matiullah, Sarfraz and Shereen Rehman sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the THQ Hospital Pindi bhattian where they were progressing satisfactorily.
