ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s top squash player Nasir Iqbal stormed into the $25,000 CCL International Squash Championship 2014 final after brushing aside Indian Mahesh Mangaok 3-1 in the semifinal played in Mumbai on Saturday.

Talking to The Nation, Nasir said: “It was truly a remarkable victory. My confidence level is sky high ever since I helped Pakistan retain Asian Senior Team Squash Championship. I am thankful to Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) for helping me play the PSA events.”

“Maheash started the first game on a high pace, but I caught him in the middle of the game after some tough resistance and won it 11-8 and the second game 11-9. The third game was won by Mahesh 13-11. I won the fourth game 11-8, thus won the game and booked berth in final. I will face Ali Faraq of Egypt in final, who beat countryman Zahad Muhammad in the second semi-final,” Nasir concluded.
