BEIJING- A high-level Pakistani delegation arrived in Beijing today to hold talks with the Chinese authorities over projects being implemented by China in Pakistan.

The delegation included Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatmi and Secretary Water and Power Nargis Sethi.

It will hold discussions about starting work on the Pak-China Economic Corridor, energy projects, Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park in Lahore and on cooperation in the textile field.

The delegation will also hold a meeting with the Chinese Commission for Development and Reforms.

Pakistan’s Ambassador in China, Masood Khalid informed that the Chinese President was interested in reviving the old Silk Route. This action will play a vital role in trade and economic activities in the region.
