LAHORE Six high quality CCTV cameras have been installed at various positions here at Faisal Chowk at The Mall Road on the directions of CCPO Aslam Tareen. The CCTV cameras have been installed with the systems of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) with an estimated cost of Rs 600,000. The future project in this regard included the installation of CCTV cameras at all leading business markets across the City for VIP movements. CCTV cameras would also be installed from Qartaba Chowk to the Governors House in the next phase. According to a police spokesman, Tareen inaugurated the installation of CCTV cameras on Saturday and thanked FPCCI in this connection. An inaugural ceremony was held at Capital City Police Headquarters, Lahore in which a 30-member delegation of FPCCI met the CCPO under the leadership of Chairman Law and Order Committee Khawaja Khawar Rasheed. DIG Operations Rao Sardar Ali, SSP Operations Rana Faisal, SP Civil Lines Umar Saeed, DSP Race Course Circle Pervez Butt, and other cops were present.
