LAHORE - All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Maj Gen (r) Rashid Qureshi has claimed that Pervez Musharraf is not afraid of cases. He demanded of the government to hold an independent judicial inquiry into the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa incidents. Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Saturday regarding Musharraf Foundation, he while saying that Musharraf was blamed for killing of 'innocent students and people in the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa incidents questioned the government that what stops them for initiating an independent inquiry into the incidents. Commenting over the issue of missing persons, he claimed that many of the missing persons went to Afghanistan for waging Jihad while some others went missing in other illegal activities. He maintained that all steps taken during Musharraf regime for the good of the masses went to drain due to the policies of current incompetent rulers. Qureshi claimed that Musharraf was not afraid of cases and would face them when he would return before the general elections and hopefully this year would be the year of Musharrafs return. Talking about the Musharraf Foundation, he said that Musharraf Foundation was established purely on the basis of social welfare and was a non-political organisation. It collected donations of Rs 250 million and now going to build 2,000 houses in the flood-hit areas for the disaster victims.
