LAHORE The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry has expressed hope that the newly elected body of the Lahore High Court Bar Association will serve the community without any discrimination. The CJ congratulated the elected body of the Bar and said, It is a great honour to represent the city lawyers and at the same time the office under their command, demanded of them greater responsibility and service. The President of the Bar Asghar Ali Gill, Vice President Mian Jahangir, Secretary Arshad Malik Awan and the Finance Secretary Mian Muhammad Azam met the Chief Justice here Saturday and spent some time with him. The CJ told the office-bearers that their new assignment is a test case for them as such they would need to work selflessly and rising above their personal liking and disliking. He said hard-work and dedication were the name of success and the time spent in the office upholding these lofty traditions became the assets of ones whole life. He said that goodwill and good reputation were the true earning in the life of a lawyer which had no comparison. The new members of the Bar body assured the CJ to fully act upon his advice and that they would extend the judiciary their full cooperation to make the national judicial policy a complete success.
