LAHORE - Pakistan Air Force thrashed Army by 3-2 to win the 26th Captain Natha Khan Sher Jang memorial volleyball championship crown at Sansa (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) organised by Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Volleyball Association. Eight teams including Pakistan Army, Police, Air Force, Wapda, Navy, Punjab, NWFP and AJK participated in the five days event. In the very crucial final encounter PAF having best average height in the championship  starts their campaign with rhythm and coordination in the first set of the match their spiking average with successful blocking and a services did not allow the Army to take lead through out the game and won the first set at the score of 25-21. Red shirts fought back with determination and mantel fitness in the second set. Both teams show their best but Army edge in the game and won the set by 24-26.   Trilling by one set the PAF fought back with some quick points to take advantage and win the set at the score of 25-21. In the fourth set Army team got rhythm and impetus and disjointed PAF defense to take advantage and won the important set at the score of 27-25.. In the fifth in final set PAF dominated the proceeding and at the time of changes of the courts they were leading by 8-6. Army to put up some resistance at this stage but PAF spikers Muhammad Riaz Khan and Ismial Khan were too strong by power spiking collative blocking and counter attack to win the wonderful victory by 15-11.
