LAHORE - Two robbers shot dead a youth and made off with Rs 2.2 million looted from him in Sattukatla police limits on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Asif, 30, a resident of Bhatti Gate. Police said that Asif, who worked for a renowned bakery, collected Rs 2.2 million in cash from one of the branches of the bakery in Wapda Town. He was on his way on a motorbike. On reaching near a petrol pump in Wapda Town, his bike was intercepted by two unidentified robbers, they added. The police further said that the robbers asked Asif for the money but as he offered resistance they shot fires at him and made off with Rs 2.2 million and a cell phone. Asif received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot. The police have registered a case against the unknown accused on the complaint of the victims brother Haroon Iqbal. Further investigations are underway.
