Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif stated that in the prevailing circumstances, the country cannot bear another martial law. Talking to media after enquiring the injured of Gham-e-Shah blast in Ganga-Ram Hospital on Monday, he said that the menace of terrorism could only be defeated with unity as anti-state elements want to destabilize the country by making bomb-blasts in the country. He also pointed that pace of work from the federal government was very slow to tackle the challenge in flood-affected areas as governmental machinery was totally missing, however, "I have personally directed PML-N leadership and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to continue relief efforts till rehabilitation of every affected family in the flood-hit areas. PML-N chief also said that the government should ensure implementation on the verdicts of the apex court adding that now the government has no reason to summon All Parties Conference. Responding to a query, PML-N chief clarified that the at this juncture of time, the country couldn't afford another martial dictatorial regime as the Musharraf's dictatorship left devastations in the country. He also emphasized that the government had been unaware over the intensity and havoc of floods in the country that's why government pace of work on flood relief efforts was very discouraging.
