In occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, while strongly condemning the recent suicide attacks in Pakistan, has expressed deep grief and shock at the loss of life in these attacks and sympathy with the families of the victims. According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that Pakistan was passing through the worst period and had become a victim of international conspiracies. "Some vested interests are projecting Islam in a negative way to defame Pakistan. At this crucial juncture, I urge the people of different communities there to remain united and jointly defeat the conspiracies against the country," he said. The veteran leader expressed concern over the indulgence of some criminals and vested interests in extorting money from truck drivers on highways in the occupied territory. "We have received eyewitness accounts from various areas that after extortion these criminals take refuge in respective Police Stations. This clearly shows that they are working with agencies," he said. He urged people to take steps to catch hold of these elements and foil their activities. Meanwhile, senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi in a media interview in Srinagar strongly denounced the terrorist suicide attacks in Pakistan. He said that the suicide bombings were the handiwork of fascist forces that had spread their network Throughout Pakistan to destabilize the country.
