ISLAMABAD: The staff photographer of The Nation, Syed Mehdi, has been suffering from severe infection and high fever since a rubber bullet injured his right arm on Constitution Avenue on August 30.

Mehdi got injured while covering the protest sit-ins of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on Saturday night (August 30) when police started heavy tear gas shelling and fired rubber bullets at the protestors after the marchers started moving towards the PM House. "I was in front of the Cabinet Division gate when I got entangled between the protestors and police," said Mehdi. The doctors have diagnosed serious infection as a result of rubber bullet injury, he added.–Staff Reporter
