PESHAWAR- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the Departments of Home, Relief, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), divisional and district administrations for making advance arrangements while keeping in view the losses of human lives and properties due rainstorms in Punjab and Azad Kashmir to deal with expected rains, floods and losses from them in effective manner.

Issuing directives for making brisk and effective arrangements in this regard, he clarified that prior measures could not only minimise the losses of human lives and properties of the people, rather they could also fully be secured from losses and difficulties.

The chief minister also stressed the need for keeping close and effective coordination with Met Office and other federal government organisations and taking of measures in light of their forecast and recommendations.  He expressed heartiest sympathies with the affected families over the loss of human lives and properties due to storm and rains in different areas of the province.

He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the injured. He also underlined the need of prompt response and starting relief work by the local administration to any such incident of natural disaster occurred in any part in nook and corner of the province.
