ISLAMABAD- Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has told Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that he would hold a press conference against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan.

PM Sharif in a meeting with Chaudhry Nisar today had advised him not to add more fuel to his controversy with PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan. Sources said that the Interior Minister, remained unmoved to PM's pleas, and stood firm on its stance on the controversy with Aitzaz Ahsan throughout his meeting with the Prime Minister. He insisted that he will respond to the allegations of Aitzaz Ahsan during a press talk at 06:00 P.M today.

Nisar Ali Khan took Aitzaz Ahsan’s speech as a personal insult but said that he had to show restraint due to Prime Minister during the joint sitting of the Parliament. “There is a paper which I want to show during the conference,” Nisar had said.

The two leaders also discussed the sit-ins of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad. The minister earlier had alleged that Aitzaz Ahsan is the lawyer of a land mafia group. Ahsan, during the joint session of the parliament, gave a strong reply to the allegations leveled by Nisar in a media talk.

The tussle has taken place during the time in which the pro-democratic forces including Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), PPP, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National Party (ANP), National Party (NP) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) are fighting for the supremacy of constitution and parliament.
