ISLAMABAD - The government on Tuesday finally appointed Additional Security Officer to PM and his office (internal), the post, which had been lying vacant for the last seven months.

Muhammad Faisal, BS-18 officer of Police Service of Pakistan, has been appointed as Additional Security Officer to the PM and his office (Internal), says a notification issued by the Establishment Division. Faisal, a well-reputed and seasonal police officer, who was serving under the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Establishment Division ordered the Faisal to join his duty with immediate effect and until further orders.

A source in Establishment Division informed this scribe that several police officers had been rejected for this post. He said mostly police officers were interested in field postings and they requested the division to appoint in the field.
