Lahore:  Red Bull has tapped 12 of Pakistan’s most-promising artists to create original works of art using a most unusual canvas—a mini Red Bull refrigerator; also known as Red Bull coolers.

The first-ever Red Bull Canvas Cooler Project in Pakistan will celebrate some of the most innovative artists in the country as they turn their designs into canvas-wrapped Red Bull coolers. Through this project Red Bull is giving artists the opportunity to turn blank Red Bull coolers into a piece of art that will eventually be exhibited in Lahore on both 17th and 18th of December, 2016.

The project is curated by Zain Naqvi, design grad from Pakistan's premiere art school NCA (Lahore) who is currently serving as Art Director at Treble and Visiting Faculty at Beaconhouse National University. After much thought and consideration, 12 artists across Pakistan were handed over Red Bull coolers to work on them for two weeks. Zain Naqvi, the Curator of the project, has been bestowed with the task to guide and ensure the 12 artist’s wrap-up the designs within two weeks; thus ready in time to exhibit their creativity on both December 17th and 18th, 2016. The exhibition will feature a fusion of old and new tradition as well as innovative designs. Participating artists include painters, sculptors, and artists from mixed backgrounds in a showcase that boasts a broad variety of Pakistan's exceptional talent in art. Selected finished work will first be shown on the 17th of December at Riots Studio, Lahore (exclusively to the art community, fans and influencers). The complete collection will be on public display on the 18th of December at the Riots Studio in Lahore before each cooler finds its permanent home in carefully selected cafés, restaurants, hotels and other prominent locations around Pakistan.
