KASUR/SADIQABAD/JHANG/-SHEIKHUPURA-Seven persons including two women were killed in different incidents of violence and road accidents here the other day.

According to police, a man was killed in collision between a motorcycle and tractor-trolley in Changa Manga. Munir Ahmed was on the way to Changa Manga from Kot Radha Kishan on a motorbike when a speeding tractor-trolley, coming from the opposite direction, collided with the bike. As a result, Munir got injured critically and died on the spot.

In another incident, an elderly man was crushed to death by a tractor-trolley. The police said that an unidentified elderly man was walking on Railway Road when a speeding tractor-trolley crushed him to death.

On the other hand, a man was found dead in Steel Bagh Park. The police said that some passersby spotted the dead body of a 35-year-old man near Steel Bagh Park and informed the police. On information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for autopsy. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained till filing of the report.

In Sadiqabad, a man was killed in collision between a motorcycle and car here. According to police, Ali Tariq Cheema, a resident of Chak 7/NP, was on the way to Sadiqabad on a motorbike when a speeding car collided with the motorbike head-on. As a result, he sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

In Jhang, a man axed his wife to death allegedly for honour in Mauza Luck Badhar. The police said that the accused Arshad suspected that his wife had developed illicit relations with someone. The other day, he quarrelled with his wife over the issue and axed her to death. The deceased was mother of four children.

In another incident, a youth and his aunt drowned in Shorkot Cantt. According to police Hafiz Nafeesur Rehman, son of Qari Abaidul Rehman, was on the way back Gojra from Muzaffargarh in a car along with his aunt Hafeeza Bibi and cousins - Nadeem and Saleem. As they reached near Shorkot Cantt, the car skidded off the road and plunged into Trimmu-Link Canal due to speeding. Resultantly, Nafees and his aunt Hafeeza Bibi drowned while others were critical injuries and shifted to Shorkot THQ Hospital.

In Sheikhupura, a person was killed and three others fainted after consuming toxic liquor in village Madhu Das.

According to Mandi Faizabad Police, four friends - Awal Shah, Rehmat, Nadeem and Umar fainted after consuming toxic liquor. They were rushed to DHQ Hospital where Awal Shah died while the others were referred to Mayo Hospital Lahore in critical condition.

The Mandi Faizabad police started investigation.
