KARACHI (APP) - A Malaysian company, International Investment Consortium (IIC) has expressed willingness to construct modern bus terminals and driving institute and academy under a public private partnership. This interest was shown by IIC delegation led by its President Datu Arshad Mehmood during a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here on Saturday. IIC President said that his company wanted to invest $ 1 billion in transport sector in the province under public private partnership. This will generate 10,000 jobs and provide better transportation facilities to the people. The Chief Minister said that his government will not only encourage foreign investment in the province, but provide them all possible support. Chief minister assured the delegation that he will consider their proposal and finalise this project after consultation with the federal government and the concerned departments. He expressed the desire of his government for providing better transport facilities beside the provision of basic needs to the people of Sindh province. Provincial Transport Minister Akhtar Hussain Jadoon told the meeting that lucrative opportunities were available for investment in transport sector in Sindh.
