LAHORE The passing-out parade of 532 fire rescuers will be held today (Monday) at Emergency Services Rescue 1122 Academy, Shama Chowk, Ferozepur Road. Demonstrations of fire fighting, rescue, emergency management of mass casualty incidents like explosions and building collapse will also be arranged on the occasion. The fire staff recruited and trained for the remaining 24 districts of Punjab, which include Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar, Chakwal, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jehlum, Jhang, Kasur, Khanewal, Khushab, Layyah, Lodharan, Mandi Baha-U-Din, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Sheikhupura, TT Singh and Vehari will pass out from the Emergency Services Academy. Rescue 1122 spokesman said the passing out cadets had been specialised in specific training which include rescue, pre hospital emergency medical treatment and fire fighting. Specialised training courses are arranged in the fields of fire investigations, community awareness, communication skills, winter water rescue and incident command system, he added.
