LAHORE Three persons died in road accidents in different parts of the provincial capital on Sunday. As per details, a 40-year-old cyclist Ameen Khan, father of four, was on his way on Ferozepur Road in Nishtar Colony police area when a speeding car hit him. Resultantly, the victim suffered multiple injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last while the accused driver along with his car managed to flee the scene. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man, who had suffered multiple injuries in an accident which took place at Double Sarkan Stop in Gulshan Ravi a day back, died on Sunday. The deceased was father of three. In another accident, a 25-year-old unidentified youth was knocked down by a speeding truck at Ludhar Village in Burki police limits on Sunday. The accused, however, fled the scene while the police after recovering the body made numerous announcements in the aforesaid area but none of the citizens claimed to own the body. Later, the body was removed to the City morgue for autopsy. Police have registered separate cases against unidentified accused till filing of this report. Further investigations are underway.
