LAHORE A 28-year-old youth was gunned down by unidentified accused in what police claimed personal grudge in Gulshan Iqbal police limits in the wee hours of Sunday. The deceased was identified as Hafiz Mohammad Faisal, resident of 291-Kamran Block. Family members of the deceased said Faisal left his home on Saturday night saying he was going to attend a dinner party arranged by his friend Talha in Nizam Block where police claimed he indulged in quarrel with his friends but was reconciled a short while later. He is on his way back to home on his car when he reached near a market of Karim Block two motorcyclists intercepted him, quoting a statement of a security guard police investigators associated with this case said. They said the accused were snubbing him over unexplained dispute when an accused shouted of killing him. Investigators believed the deceased might had refused doing the same what accused were demanding of him. The security guard claimed of listening noise of firing and informed the police, which reached the spot after an hour. Faisal received multiple bullet injuries. A bullet pierced into his head and we shifted him to the Jinnah Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead, they said. Later, the body was shifted to the City morgue for autopsy. Police have also registered a murder case under section 302 on the statement of Hafiz Mohammad Ahmed Siddique, father of the deceased and clergy by profession.
