RAWALPINDI - Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) has collaborated with Lifebuoy /Unilever Pakistan Limited (UPL) for a hygiene education programme in schools. The outreach of this programme was primarily in government and private sector schools. The programme has been launched on television and Wasim Akram was the campaign ambassador. The programme was initiated in 4 districts of Pakistan; Pindi, Karachi, Lahore and Multan. ITA has successfully implemented the programme in 1200 schools across 4 districts in Pakistan, says a press release issued here on Thursday. A closing event of Lifebuoys Behaviour Change Journey was organised at POF Hotel Wah Cant to celebrate the successful implementation of the programme in district Pindi. The event was attended by Waheed Afzal GSM North General Sales Manager, UPL south and Ms. Baela Raza Jamil, Director, Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi. Activities were performed by students to highlight the importance of Health and Hygiene. Students performed on jingle Paanch ka Pahara, the track song of the campaign and also on other national songs. A flag march was carried out by vice captains of lifebuoy campaign. The four months journey in schools from enrolment till implementation phase was also shared in the form of pictorial presentation. Awards were given to students on extraordinary performance followed by closing remarks by Baela Jamel and Waheed Afzal GSM- North.
