KARACHI – A young man was gunned down near Moti Mosque in Shah Faisal No 3 within the precincts of the Shah Faisal Police Station on Sunday. Police officials said the victim, namely Mohib Ahmed, 26, son of Maqsood Ahmed, was returning home from his friend’s place when unidentified attackers opened fire on him and fled. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy, and later handed over to the heirs.  The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. Investigation is underway. Meanwhile, bullet-riddled body of a young man was found from Kalri ground within the remit of the Baghdadi Police Station. Investigators said the victim’s identification was yet to be ascertained. They said that unidentified culprits kidnapped him from somewhere and later threw his body at the said place after killing him.  The body was moved to a morgue after medico-legal formalities at Civil Hospital Karachi.
