LAHORE - Charring a meeting at Civil Secretariat on Saturday, Punjab Chief Secretary Javed Aslam ordered strict implementation of energy-saving campaign.

“The air-conditioners must not be used before 11am in the offices,” he averred, adding that officials must maintain discipline and they should start working at 9am.

The chief secretary further directed provincial, divisional and district officers to chalk out a comprehensive action plan for implementation of Ramzan Package in order to enable the common man to garner its fruits.  He said the government is providing Rs3.5 billion subsidy for Ramazan Bazaars and the Utility Stores Corporation is going to set up stalls.

He said KPI and Performance Management Plan would be implemented to measure performance of all government departments.   Aslam also directed Divisional Commissioners to ensure success of Ramazan Bazaars by assigning responsibilities to the concerned DCOs, and also personally monitor Ramazan Bazaars. He directed that rate lists should be prominently displayed.
