PESHAWAR To attract the tourists from abroad and the country, the association of Swat hotels has announced to organise tourism fair in Kalam and Bahrian. The hotel association has demanded of the security forces to reduce the check posts and restore the aerial services to swat aimed at attracting maximum tourists in the coming season. A one-day conference was held in swat PTDC hotel here on Sunday. Officials of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, Manager of Sarhad Tourism Corporation Mushtaq Ahmad, Colonel Aftab and others attended the conference. The participants on the occasion stressed the government to take practical steps for development of tourism sector in Swat. They said that peace had been completely restored in Swat and now the tourists could visit the Swat without any fear. The President of hotel association Zahid Khan and others announced 50 percent discount in hotel rents and a centre would be established in Landa where tourists would be issued special cards while an information centre would also be established in Swat aimed at providing relevant information to the travellers.
