LAHORE - Punjab University College of Art and Design has won 7 awards in different categories at 9th All Pakistan Naqsh Art Festival 2012 in Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute.

The students including Muneeb Ali (Calligraphy), Buland Iqbal (Portrait & Sculpture), Aqsa Tariq (Face Painting), Uswa Arshad (Landscape Painting), Parwasha Qayyum & Quratulain have won 1st positions and Ayesha (Landscape Painting) got 2nd position in competition. PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and College Principal Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masood congratulated students to earn fame for varsity.

Mahmood Ali Chair established: Punjab University has established the “Mahmood Ali Chair” in the Department of Political Science.

Late Mahmood Ali was one the founding father of Pakistan and a leader of the Muslim League and throughout his 70 years public life, he lightening rod in politics and a true follower of Quaid-e-Azam and modest politicians who spent his whole life in promoting the two nation theory and serving Pakistan. He was also a founder of “Tehrik-i-Takmil-i-Pakistan (Movement for the Completion of Pakistan) and author of two books “Quaid-e-Azam and Muslim Economics” and “What Should we do Now”.

PU declares results:  Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of Part. I (Special) Annual Exam 2011 held in Riyadh K.S.A and Kuwait, Part. II (Special) Annual Exam 2011 held in Riyadh K.S.A and LLB Part. III (Special) Supplementary Exam 2010 held in London.
