LAHORE - Civil Lines police have resolved the mystery of the killing of a six-year-old girl, who was thought to have fallen victim to a stray bullet at a local ice cream parlour on November 10, 2011. Police sources have disclosed that the deceased girl Isha, daughter of one Humera, was killed by the bullet fired by her relative police officer Faisal, who is currently serving in National Highways and Motorways Police.

She was killed over petty dispute, the police revealed. “The case has been resolved and now further action would be taken in light of the recent findings,” a police officer said. He, however, said the culprit had been released on bail by the court. Further investigations are underway.

Dacoits: CIA Gulberg Police have yet to trace the dacoits, who snatched Rs 5.1 million from the sister of a former IG Punjab Azhar Hassan Nadeem. Mrs Shahnaz Sajid Gilani was looted late on Monday night seconds after she came out of a designer clothes outlet located in Gulberg police area. A case has been lodged against unidentified dacoits with no arrest so far.

TWO killed:  Two people, including a 25-year-old youth, were killed in different parts of the City on Tuesday. A 25 years old youth Muhammad Arshad of Baseem village was gunned down by the four armed members of his rival group led by Iliyas in Batapur area. Police investigators said the deceased killed a member of his rival group in 2006.

Similarly, a 45-year-old man Muhammad Sharif of Dher Pindi was found dead at haveli in North Cantonment police area. No mark of torture or wound was witnessed on his body. However, the bereaved family alleged that the deceased was killed by his relatives namely Asghar, Ashraf and Aslam. “We know, the accused have killed him by giving him poisonous food,” the family alleged.

Later, police have lodged two cases against the accused men with no arrests.
