ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has felicitated MOL Group for successfully completing $225 million Makori Gas Processing Facilities (GPF) Plant when a high-level delegation headed by Alexander Dodds Executive Vice President of MOL Group called upon the premier. 

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister of State Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Secretary Abid Saeed and Ali Murtaza Abbas, Political Advisor of MOL Oil and Gas Company. In a statement, MOL said that the Prime Minister has exchanged notes with Alexander Dodds about the current E&P policies in Pakistan. Dodds appreciated the investor friendly Petroleum Policy and suggested that the government should pursue other avenues in the E&P sector including Shale gas exploration.

Dodds further announced to the Prime Minister the successful completion of the Makori GPF Plant at cost of $225 million by the TAL joint Venture. He said plant would immediately start producing 300 MT tons of LPG. This new addition of the plant would make MOL Pakistan production in the country 300 MMCF of Gas, 21000BPD of oil/ condensate a day and 300 tons of LPG.

This feat would make MOL Pakistan the second largest producer of oil/condensate, second largest producer of LPG and fourth largest producer of Gas in Pakistan. Dodds emphasised that the joint venture partners of TAL JV also deserved accolades for this milestone achievement.  The TAL JV investments in the KPK province hovers around the $1.4 billion mark till date. Dodds gave a detailed brief about the high standards of HSE in MOL Pakistan operations and the CSR initiatives in the area of operations.  The Minister of Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi praised the MOL Pakistan Advisor Ali Murtaza Abbas for his tireless efforts to work with both federal and provincial governments and the local community in synchronisation and in an exceptionally professional manner. He requested the Prime Minister to inaugurate the GPF facility in the near future.
