ISLAMABAD The first part of Pakistan contingent for the 16th Asian Games will leave for Guangzhou on Monday (tomorrow), it was learned on Saturday. According to a spokesman of Pakistan Sports Board and Ministry of Sports, the athletes of sailing and shooting will embark on an airbus from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Chef de Mission, Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani along with other officials of the contingent will leave for Guangzhou on November 10. The hockey team will depart from Shaheed Benzir Bhutto Int Airport, Islamabad on November 10. Deputy chef de mission, Brig. Arif Mahmud Siddiqui will lead the teams of baseball, billiard & snooker, judo (male & female), tennis, wushu, weightlifting and volleyball. This batch of contingent will depart from Shaheed Benzir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad on November 10. The cricket team (women) will leave for Guangzhou on November 11 at 1:15 am from Jinnah Int Airport, Karachi. The squash team will depart from Shaheed Benzir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad November 15 at 11:35 pm. The kabbadi team will depart on November 22 at 11:35 pm. Wrestling and karate squads will depart from Shaheed Benzir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad on November 18 at 11:35 pm. Whereas the cricket teams (men) will leave for Guangzhou on November 18 at 1:15 am from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
