LAHORE - The secretary higher education has recommended names for panels to be deputed as Controller Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BI&SE) for four Boards of the province, said sources in the education department on Saturday. They said a summary had been moved to the Chief Minister for final approval. In each panel the secretary education recommended two names for every BI&SE. For Bahawalpur Board names of Atta Ullah Shah, EDO Education Sargodha, and Muhammad Mustanser Rehman, Principal Govt Elementary College Jehlum, were recommended. For Faisalabad Board names of Muhammad Riaz, senior headmaster of govt school and Muhammad Tahir Kashif, DDEO Sargodha, were recommended. For Gujranwala Board names of Ghulam Muhammad Jhagar, Director Colleges Faisalabad and Tanveer Qureshi, associate professor government college Joharabad were included in the summary. Names of Iftikhar Ahmad Cheema, senior headmaster Govt High School Chouburji and Malik Zafar Iqbal, already serving as Controller Faisalabad Board, were recommended for the appointment as Controller Lahore Board. For the post of Controller Lahore Board, the present Controller Manzoor Niazi has got extension in his tenure but new names have also been recommended for the said office. Sources in the education department said summary had been sent by the secretary higher education to the provincial minister education who would process it to the chief secretary and then it would be sent to the the chief minister for final approval.
