KARACHI A charity hockey match between Holland and Pakistan to raise funds for flood affectees have yielded 81,000 euros, TheNation learnt here Saturday. The match was played on September 14 when Pakistan was in Holland on a training tour. The amount will go to the Dutch charity organization 'Samenwerkende Hulp Organisaties (SHO). The match was organized by the Royal Dutch Hockey Association (KNHB) on the request of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the Pakistan Embassy. It resulted in an 8-2 win by the Dutch. Last week, another charity match between the Pakistan and the Belgian team, organized by the Belgian Hockey Federation (KBHB), raised 7,000. The FIH has thanked everyone who helped to make these charity matches a success for their great support and contribution.
