LAHORE Three people were killed in as many road mishaps here in different parts of the City, police and rescue workers said on Sunday. Police said that a 30year-old youth was killed while his friend wounded seriously when their motorcycle bumped into a tractor-trolley here in Township area. Resident of Township, Khurum Shahzad Butt, 30, said to a machine mechanic, along with his friend Sarfraz was on his way to a market when his two-wheeler smashed into a tractor-trolley near Mochipura drain. Both the men were rushed to a nearby hospital where Shahzad succumbed to injuries while the condition of Sarfraz was reported to be critical. The police are investigating. In another road accident, a 50-year-old was travelling in a sand-packed tractor-trolley when suddenly he fell down on the road and the trolley ran over him here in Shahdara area. The man, later identified as Muhammad Bashir died on the spot. The police reached the spot and handed over the body to the deceaseds family. Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was crossing the Ferozepur road in Ichhra area when a rashly driven vehicle ran over him, resulting in his on-the-spot death. The police have removed the dead body of the man, yet to be identified so far, to the morgue and are investigating.
