BUREWALA - Dengue virus continues to play havoc with the lives of citizens in the area as a dengue patient expired at a local private hospital here the other day. The deceased family accused Mayo hospital Lahore administration for not providing medical treatment to the patient as they refused to admit him to hospital. As per detail, 24-year-old Imtiaz Ahmad, a resident of Maqsooabad Mouza Ghafoor Wah was detected by doctors as having been suffering from dengue fever in Lahore about 15 days ago. His brother Ijaz Ahmad took him to Mayo Hospital Lahore where doctor given him paracetamol tablets but refused to admit him due to shortage of space. Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ahmad condition deteriorated with high fever they came back to Burewala and went to THQ Hospital and remained there for four days and got treatment but due to shortage of facilities two days ago his family shifted him to a private clinic where he expired. The family of the deceased alleged that Mayo Hospital administration was responsible for the death of their beloved. They said that they belonged to a poor family and were labouring in Lahore. The family demanded the Punjab Chief Minister provide them financial assistance.
