The leader of ruling Awami National Party (ANP) in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and ex-union nazim, Hanif Jadoon and his bodyguard was killed while his son and seven others sustained critical wounds in a suicide attack in Malikabad area here on Monday, police. District police while confirming the incident said that Hanif Jadoon was on his way home after offering Eid ul Azha prayer when the attacker came closer to his car and detonated the vest, killing him, his body guard, Farman Shah and injuring his son and seven others. The injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Swabi. The son of the slain nazim was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Police rushed to the site and started search operation. No group has claimed the responsibility yet.
