LAKKI MARWAT – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, central executive council’s member, Khan Bahadar Marwat has said that he believes in clean politics and will strive hard to abolish the practices of using money by local Khans to grab votes in elections.

Speaking at a public meeting in Shaikhan locality of Lakki City the other day, he said that the use of money is still in vogue in the area politics and there is the dire need to put an end to the menace at all costs. “To clean area politics and electioneering activities of ugly practices will be a great achievement on our part”, he said.

A prominent business family of Haji Rab Nawaz, a jeweler by profession joined Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf on the occasion while the gathering was also addressed by PTI local leaders Hakim Asghar Khan, Sanam Gul and former nazim Faqeer Abdul Khaliq.

Marwat claimed that PTI would change the Khan dominant political scenario of the district and would bring new faces to the assemblies with the support of masses. He urged the people to use their votes in favour of PTI candidates if they wanted to change the prevailing corrupt system into a fair, clean and transparent one. “Don’t compromise on your right of franchise just for the sake of getting temporarily monetary benefits”, he told the people, calling upon them to reject the usurpers of people’s rights and those responsible for the backwardness of district with the power of vote.

He went hard on Saifullah brothers and other local politicians and held them responsible for the backwardness and deprivation of Lakki Marwat. He claimed that MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan as well as former MNA Maulana Amanullah did not utter a single word on the floor of national assembly to highlight the problems faced by area people.

“How can such MPs serve you in a better way when they sit in the assemblies like dumb”, he questioned.

He added that wrong decisions of area elders enabled influential Saifullahs and other Khans cum political families to dominate over the residents of district. “But now the youths will not accept such decisions of their elders with regard to support traditional politicians in elections”, he maintained. He added that he jumped into the political arena after burning all the boasts with the aim to bring a real change under the banner of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
