Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khursheed Shah Friday stated that local government ordinance in Sindh came after consultation with all the stake holders. Talking to media, outside the Parliament House, Khursheed Shah said it is the same system that is already executed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He said that mayors will be employed in 5 major cities of Sindh and other cities will have Nazims. “We will not let Awami National Party to become annoyed with us and we will agree them on the matter”, Shah stated. He said, “Some people do not want to see Mehmood Khan Achakzai in the Parliament, that’s why they want him to become caretaker Prime Minister, but we want him to come in the Parliament through general elections”. He stated that mayors will be employed in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur and Larkana, while other areas of Sindh will have Nazims. “We want progress in rural areas, so that pressure of urbanization over major cities will be reduced”, Shah said.
