KARACHI - Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Professor. Ghafoor on Sunday welcomed the agreement between the Sunni Tehreek and MQM about the collection of the hides of sacrificial animal. He was addressing the press conference at JI Karachi office Idara-e-Noor Haq on the occasion of the issuance of audit report of JI Al-Khidmat organisation. He pointed out that the forcedly collection of hides and issuance of collection receipts were a dangerous step. It is responsibility of the ruling coalition to implement the code of conduct about the hide collections in the metropolis, he added. He underlined the need of the audit to restrict the welfare organisations for the collection of hides. He urged the Government to perform their responsibility on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to maintain the law and order situation of the metropolis and forcedly implement the code of conduct. He claimed that Al-Khidmat welfare organisation was the biggest welfare organisation of the country, which used to present audit report of every penny to the people. He said that Al-Khidmat organisation had spent the major part of the income on relief development, natural disasters, health, education, and for the support of oppressed and disabled people. He claimed that during last year it had spent more than Rs 230 million for the welfare of the oppressed and downtrodden. He requested the people to donate their sacrificial animal hides to Al-Khidmat to continue the charitable activities of the organisation.
