LAHORE : Cotton ginning factories owners should dispose waste properly to keep coming cotton crop safe from Pink bollworm attack. A Punjab Agriculture spokesman on Saturday said that cotton crop was one of the important crops for the country’s economy. Pink bollworm harms cotton crop and not only leads to poor growth but also affects quality of cotton. He suggested farmers to complete cutting of cotton sticks and their removal till the end of January and plough the land to destroy eggs of worms. After picking the cotton for last time growers could leave goats in the field to graze as this would help in getting rid of the pink bollworm.
