ISLAMABAD - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were in all trouble against KRL as they lost eight wickets for 262 in 74 overs in the President's Trophy Grade-I fifth round match here at the KRL Stadium on Saturday.

PIA still required another 157 runs to level the scores. Faisal Iqbal made 94, Shaharyar Ghani 46 and Janisar 40. Rahat Ali took 3-57 while Tahir Khan, Aizaz Cheema and Jamshed Ahmed picked up two wickets each. Earlier, PIA started their first innings at the overnight score of 18 without loss in 4.5 overs.

At National ground, State Bank finished the day on 165-5 in their second innings, only 37 runs ahead with five wickets remaining. Rameez Raja Jr made 68. M Haseeb took 2-44. Earlier, Wapda resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 259-8 in 85.4 overs and were all out for 300 in 98 overs. Aamir Sajjad was top-scorer with 76. Rizwan Haider took 4-79 and Tabish Khan 3-74. At Diamond ground, National Bank defeated UBL by 10 wickets. NBP achieved the task in 3 overs without loss. Earlier, UBL resumed their second innings at the overnight score of 55-2 in 20 overs and were bowled out for 160 in 49.4 overs. Wajih made 35 and M Rameez 32. Ataullah clinched 6-64 and Hammad Azam 3-43. At Pindi Cricket Stadium, SNGPL were in commanding position against PTV.
