While reading books on the Indus Valley civilization I learnt that agricultural development has remained one of the prime principles, conducive to the advancement of mankind and to the reconstruction of the Indus society. The sages of the ages from the Indus valley always accorded special regard to agricultural development, because they used to believe that it was a form of development shaped by and serving the goals of unity, justice, equity, and sustainability but unfortunately, the incumbent rulers are allergic and indifferent to agricultural development. That’s why, our agro-economy is irreparably damaged in Sindh and others parts of Pakistan.

Our rulers must bear this in mind that the task of building a new social and economic order is associated with the redesign of food and agricultural systems, locally, nationally and internationally. The need of the hour is to impart vision of appropriate leading values for agriculture to ensure that development results in both ecological and economic viability.
