SADIQABAD - The Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Rahim Yar Khan chapter has demanded immediate arrests of the banned outfit activists who allegedly shot at Miladun Nabi (SAWW) processions in villages Zahir Pir and Qaisar Chauhan of the district on Rabiul Awwal 12.

ST leaders Ghulam Hussain Qadri and Mian Mujahid Hussain threatened that if the Khanpur tehsil administration failed in arresting all the accused mentioned in the FIR within 72 hours, the Sunni Tehrik would have to resort to start protest demonstrations.

They alleged that the accused had intercepted the processions and tried to disperse the participants but because of the ST office-bearers’ strategy, the processions culminated at the prescribed point peacefully. They also said that the Tehrik activists were being threatened to resist from discharging organisational obligations. But, they pledged, they would not stop their job at any cost.

They also said that in the forthcoming general elections, their party would get a landslide across the district.

PPP LEADER WELCOMED: People’s Labour Bureau South Punjab President Muhammad Akbar Bhutto was accorded a warm welcome in Rahim Yar Khan.

He was welcomed in the district by PPP leader Chaudhry Jahanzen along with thousands of party activists at the Adda Khanpur. The newly appointee was garlanded as well on his arrival. He was accompanied thousands of party workers who lead him to the district. The activists included Anwar Hashmi and Mirza Shameel.
