ISLAMABAD - Terming the 'unholy' troika of President Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and chief of his own faction of JUI, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, as root cause of prevailing bad governance and corruption, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said on Tuesday that he was ready to 'topple all three wickets in one delivery.'Strongly criticising the politics of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Imran termed him as 'advisor' and 'right hand' of President Asif Ali Zardari several times during a new conference here at PTI Central Secretariat.Recounting the losses incurred to Pakistan on the pretext of war on terror and corruption during the last four years, Imran said the troika was, once again, joining hands to get passed the proposed 20th Amendment in the Constitution to safeguard their own interests. He said that Supreme Court of Pakistan had constituted a high-powered commission to probe the memogate issue on a petition filed by Nawaz Sharrif but succumbing to international pressures he (Nawaz) stepped back from his stance.Imran said it was memogate conspiracy that had given courage to the US to level allegations of terrorist organisation on country's premier intelligence agency, ISI, following an attack on US Embassy in Kabul. He said both Nawaz and Fazl had supported the continuation of Zardari's regime. "Whenever, President Zardari found any hardship in smooth running of his office, Nawaz intervened on the pretext of saving the democratic system, while Fazl supported on the pretext of religion.""Maulana has brought so much loss to the country in the name of Islam, that even Jews can not do if they conquer the country. He has earned huge sum of money while doing politics in the name of religion," Imran said."Today, I demand Maulana Fazlur Rehman to explain his statement he had given to former US Ambassador to Pakistan in which he had desired to serve the interests of the US in Pakistan in return of premiership of the country, as was later revealed through WikiLeaks."He said future generations are being held hostage to the debts being incurred by a corrupt and wasteful government while their political future was being compromised at the altar of self-interest and fatal alliances with external powers. He said NRO-backed government caused losses amounting to Rs 120 trillion to the country owing to corruption and bad governance during the last four years. "Corruption, tax evasion, concessions to powerful lobbies, exorbitant and wasteful expenditures, poor performance of public enterprises for all these reasons has cost the national exchequer Rs 3,100 billion in losses," he said.He said it was because of NRO that masses faced 51 per cent increase in petrol prices during the last four years contrary to the fact in international market prices has been increased by 15 percent only. The war on terror, which was costing the country Rs 21 billion per month during dictator Musharraf's time, has cost the country, during this government's tenure, Rs 96 billion per month. Imran reiterated his stance that he was against the ongoing polices of the US in the region and was not against America.Imran said PTI had put off the scheduled Quetta rally for one month on the request of PTI office-bearers of Balochistan chapter. He said his party was getting popularity in rural areas of the country, as people in rural areas wanted change.
