ISLAMABAD- Masses across the country have rejected the recent increase in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices and termed it additional burden on already suffering masses and against the pledges of incumbent government.

People hailing from different cities across the country have lashed the government and LPG marketing companies for uncalled for increase in LPG prices.

They criticized the government for not keeping a check on basic amenities like food items and fuel and the vested interests continue to increase their prices. They said that increase in LPG prices without notification of OGRA is illegal and unjustified and demanded immediate action.

Some of them suggested that the Supreme Court should take Suo Moto notice about the arbitrary action by LNG companies as the Apex court had done in the case of CNG prices. The consumers have demanded the government to force the importers and distributors to withdraw the decision as there was no justification of it because international oil prices were hovering at the same level for the last six months.
