JUI-F has announced to sit on treasury benches after a successful meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and JUI-F Ameer Maulana Fazl ur Rehman here on Saturday.

During the meeting held at PM house matters related to over all political situation, inclusion of JUI-F in centre, law and order among other issues were discussed in length.

According to an official handout Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated that the enormity of the challenges faced by the country demanded unity among the people and cooperation among the political parties.

He said that he would be open to any counsel that would be beneficial to the greater good of the people.

However according to reliable sources, JUI-F Amir Maulana Fazl congratulated PM on his election and exchanged views on his priorities, which he had already tabled before the PM. On this the PM said we are considering the wish list and soon we would respond positively, sources said.

Sources also told Online that Maulana Fazl also sought federal ministries as well as being granted the chairman ship of National Assembly standing committee. Sources said that PML-N leadership is considering granting chairmanship to JUI of Foreign Affairs committee as first phase and than in second phase ministries would be considered.

When Online contacted JUI-F spokesperson Jan Achakzai in this regard he claimed that matters of ministries did not crop up in the meeting between PM and Maulana Fazl.  He said that his party is unconditionally supporting PML-N for strengthening of democracy. He said that no government post is being given to JUI-F as yet.
