peshawar -

A resident of Peshawar Rasool Gul on Friday demanded the chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and provincial police chief to take notice of the police highhandedness and provide him protection.

Addressing a news conference here at press club, Gul, resident of the City Town, said that a few days back he had a scuffle with a person upon which his opponent bribed the officials of Pahari Pora Police Station.

He alleged that the local police headed by ASI Nauman illegally raided his home and arrested his two sons and kept them in habeas corpus. He also alleged that the ASI also tortured him.

Gul informed that for seeking justice, he moved to court against the concerned police official for illegal raid, torturing him and detaining his sons Asif (13) and Sulaiman (12) in the lock-up.

Furthermore, he said that now ASI Nauman started giving threats of dire consequences if he did not reconcile.

He appealed to the chief justice Peshawar High Court to take notice of the alleged police highhandedness and provide him justice against the Pahari Pora police.
