MIANWALI: Five more sack-packed dead bodies have been recovered from Indus River at Chashma Barrage here on Saturday, taking the number of bodies recovered from the river to 32 over the past two months.

According to the police, the mutilated, sack-packed dead bodies were spotted by the visitors, floating on the bank of the dam. They informed the police, which shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital Mianwali for medico-legal formalities and identification.

A source told this news agency that around 32 bodies have been recovered from Indus River over the last two months. The police have formed a five-member investigation team headed by District Police Officer (DPO) to probe the issue.–Online
