LAHORE - CAA Director General Air Marshal (r) Asim Suleman visited Walton Airport on Saturday and inspected various sites of the premises.

According to an officer at Civil Aviation Authority, the DG expressed his concerns over wild growth around the runway and asked the airport management to remove the same immediately.

The DG remained at the airport for an hour only and left due to unknown reasons. However, as per the schedule, he was supposed to stay for three hours. Mr Suleman also visited CAA colony adjacent to Walton airport and expressed his displeasure the poor sanitary conditions. He ordered the authorities concerned to redress all the issue regarding sanitation.

The DG further warned the relevant staff to improve the airport as well colony issues and said that he would visit again after 15 days.

On Friday, DG Suleman had visited Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) where he was briefed about the expansion plan of AIIAP.
