PARACHINAR - As a result of successful talks, kidnappers released six students after more than three months in Lower Kurram Agency on Sunday. According to details, unknown armed men had attacked a convoy of vehicle carrying residents of Parachinar from Peshawar on July 17 last, as a result, 18 people including six women had been killed, besides kidnapping six students from the jurisdiction of Charkhel area of Kurram Agency. Later the kidnappers shifted all the six students to unknown location. However, on Sunday, after successful talks, the kidnappers released all the six students. After their safe release, they were being shifted to Peshawar, from where they would leave for Kurram Agency. Locals from the areas said that release of the students was made possible after meaningful negotiations by Sunni and Shia communities tribal elders with the kidnappers, which they termed a good omen for restoring peace in the volatile Kurram Agency.
