Lately I saw a news item with the title of 'PM's son Challaned'. The story that goes with the news is self-contradictory; the prime ministerial version is just the opposite of the traffic warden. Had the PM's son accepted the challan gracefully and paid the fine, he would have won accolades from the public but being the son of a PM makes him above the law. - SHAHID QAYYUM, Lahore, November 6.
