LAHORE The Pakistan Cricket Board has stopped leg spinner Danish Kaneria from travelling to Dubai for the Test series to be held from November 12 at the Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium. It is not yet clear whether Kaneria had been asked to stay back following his match fixing allegations in September with the Essex county team. A satellite channel citing unnamed sources claimed that due to Kanerias inquiry in a fixing scandal during his stint with English County Essex, in which he was cleared later on, the ICC asked the PCB to keep Kaneria away from the team. According to information from Islamabad, the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a sudden decision. Zakir Khan, the PCB Director International Operation said: Kaneria has not been cleared by the board to travel to UAE. I cannot give any further details. Mohammad Yousuf.
