ISLAMABAD - A Naib Qasid at Supreme Courts Registry office of Karachi has travelled all the way from Karachi to Islamabad on foot to seek justice and help of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. According to details, Qazi Mohammad Ajmal Javed was Naib Qasid at the Supreme Courts Karachi Registry. He was discharged from service on February 23, 2010 on account of unsatisfactory performance without conducting any inquiry to establish/confirm the allegation charged in the letter No.F-25/1255/2008 dated July 11, 2009. Talking to this scribe, Ajmal has denied the charges levelled in the letter and requested the CJP to reinstate him. Qazi told that in response to his appeal dated July 24, 2010 he was informed that he was discharged from service on February 23, 2010 while working on probation. Therefore, the reinstatement in service does not fall within the ambit of Rule-11 of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (Appointment of officers and servants and terms and conditions of service Rule 1992). Qazi said that his designation has been stated as 'qasid instead of 'naib-qasid in the reply. The date of discharge from service was recorded as March 23, 2010 instead of Feb 23, 2010. The Supreme Court (Appointment of officers and servants terms and condition of service) Rules was recorded 1992 instead of 1982. He has prayed to the chief justice to reinstate him to his job.
